Cynthia L. McCloskey, 36, of Joliet, formerly of Streator, died Wednesday, July 10, 1996, at Silver Cross Hospital, Joliet.

Private services will be held Monday at Elias Funeral Home. The Rev. Herbert Priester, of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, will officiate.

Born Apr. 25, 1960, in Streator, she was the daughter of Ralph and Ruth (Hempel) Goetz.

She is survived by her parents; daughters, Jacqueline N. and Ashley McCloskey, both of Normal; a brother, Gregory Goetz, and a sister, Mary Lou Slater, both of Streator.

She was a 1978 Streator Township High School graduate.
