Streator – Dolores “Dodie” Jane Griffin, 55, of Streator, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center in Rockford.

Visitation will be 4 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Winterrowd Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Dana Cemetery at a later date.

Dodie was born April 29, 1958, in Streator, to Ollie Reese and Joyce (Fryman) Griffin.

Surviving is her father; Ollie Griffin, of Garfield; mother Joyce (Bernard ) Bednar, of Streator; half-sister, Jenni (Byron Williamson) Richards; step-brother, Thomas (Renee) Bednar, of Streator; and step-sister, Sharon Bednar, of Streator; 12 nieces and nephews; her dog, Digger, who she loved like her child; and her lifelong friend, Cheri Meyers and her family.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Becky Griffin; and step-sister Mary Beth Bednar Denton.

She was affiliated with Church of the Open Bible and attended Dana Grade School and Streator High School. She was a school bus driver for many years, transporting special need children, and enjoyed motorcycling, horseback riding and her dogs.
